Frances entered into counselling and psychology in 1988 facilitating self help groups for people with eating disorders.
Frances went on to gain a Masters Degree in Psychology and Counselling (Distinction) at Manchester University and developed a successful private counselling practice in the UK. Her therapeutic work has continued to flourish in New Zealand. Frances was appointed to clinical leadership roles at Eating Disorders Specialist Services Wellington and Rata Counselling Centre Christchurch.
She also provided family court counselling within the Relationship Aotearoa team. Frances was part of the clinical team at Lifeline as Trainer to and Supervisor to counsellors.
She is a skilled tertiary educator and professional supervisor, and enjoys supporting other counsellors’ professional development.

Frances is a positive relationships therapist and a registered member of NZAC since 2002.
Issues with food, body image and self-esteem are a continuing passion for Frances.
