YOU ARE INVITED TO A FUN, FREE, FIRST-OF-ITS-KIND ART AND AWARENESS PROJECT FOR ŌTAUTAHI CHRISTCHURCH
Join follow Canterburians as we form a single rainbow snake biking through town in celebration of diversity, fitness, sustainability and our bike-friendly city. The structured 30-minute ride across Hagley Park and the CBD will be captured in photos and video to be used to promote the great place we live.
Fun-loving LGBTQIA+ and friends/whānau are needed as:
– Bicycle Riders: 12 groups of between 6-10 riders dressed in each of the colours of theProgress Pride Flag (eg 6 red, 6 orange… 6 yellow) – full body or tops w/black bottoms (your clothes)
– Marshals: 30 people able to take a position along the route to keep walkers, dogs, riders (ours and others) safe. This is a great role for those who might be less than mobile but able to communicate clearly in person and by radio, and those with current First Aid certification are a plus.
